In order to fully enjoy your gaming experience you must have a number of high quality units in your computer. The processor, power supply, RAM, and graphics card are all very important when you have a gaming computer. Without these units being in great shape, a newer, more demanding game wont work properly.

Power Supply

In order for your computer to run it must have a power supply. Many computers power supply is fine and wont need to be changed but some power supplies will need to be upgraded in order to give the right power to the processor, RAM, hard drive, and motherboard. If you have an older computer or are trying to upgrade your laptop or notebook to a gaming computer you may need to check your power supply. A 600 watt supply will be sufficient.

Processor

If your processor has a high amount of gigahertz (Ghz) It will run faster. The processor is the most important piece of machinery in your computer. anything above 2.0 Gigahertz should be fine but for those avid gamers, you should get a computer nearing, or over, 3.0 Ghz. This specification is the most important because it is the speed of the computer. Games absolutely need to run on fast computers that can keep up with them.

The RAM

The RAM is also important for speed and proper game play. I suggest having 3 -4 gigs of RAM, but the sky’s the limit.

The Graphics

Don’t overlook your graphics card. Your game needs to look great. You also need to get a card that is either an ATI card or a Nvidia card because these are the best brands you can get. DON’T CHEAP OUT!!! These cards are called the best for a reason. Buy the best one you can as it will definitely be worth it in the end.

The Conclusion

You need to be aware of your specifications if you are going to get a gaming computer. Don’t cheap out, but don’t break your budget either. Gaming computers are always evolving, along with the games. You need to be able to get new hardware if you want to keep up!
