The Apple iMac is one of the most wanted all-in-one desktop computers on the market. It’s
the number one preference for most composers, graphic and web designers around the world.
The first thing you notice with the iMac is its huge 24-inch screen. The display has an amazing 1080p
resolution of 1,920×1,080 pixels. This provides the potential to play and edit amazing HD video at it’s pproper
resolution.
Since the previous model, nothing much has changed with the iMac, apart from the huge 24 inch screen.
The beautiful white screen will fit superbly in any room.
The keyboard on the iMac has the same design as all other keyboards on Apple desktops
and laptops. The separate keys mean that your spelling mistakes will be scarce.
One noticeable thing about the iMac is that the whole computer is built inside the screen, and so there’s no
need to have a bulky computer box to go with your monitor. There’s a slot-loading disc drive
on the side of the iMac.
The iMac boasts some pretty impressive specifications; a 3.06GHz processor, 4GB of RAM and a 640GB hard drive won’t fail to
impress. The iMac can now match Windows-based all-in-ones in its price range.
Apple does offer a memory upgrade to 8GB of RAM and a hard drive upgrade to 1TB, but since it’s Apple this upgrade
is extremely costly.
The iMac uses Apple Mac OS X 10.5.6, or in other words Leopard, as an operating system. This beautiful OS
will fail to please virtually nobody.
The iMac is expensive, at about $1500. However, if you’re looking for an all-in-one in this price range, this machine is definitely for you.
Although it’s rather expensive, the iMac is arguably the best all-in-one on the market.
